A Change in ownership of this house gave Bark Design Architects an opportunity to revisit earlier work, redesigning the space for the new owners needs.

The Noosa Junction Station is Noosa's new public transport hub. Consisting of seven bus bays that are split above two platforms, the site provides a taste of the Noosa experience.

Taken an ensuite bathing to the next level, Bark Design Architects integrated bedroom and bath to create a 'loft-like' feel.

The Glass House Mountains House celebrates its site, perched on the edge of the remnant rim of the Glass House range. Translated into a place of 'glass and stone' inextricably connected to its landscape, it has qualities of being anchored, robust and earthbound as well as being light and floating.

Bark Design Architects have created a gateway with a difference: a delightfully welcoming, precisely crafted urban green space where the built form sits equally and carefully nestled within a natural endemic landscape.

The brief was to create a private oasis, retreat - style home that could easily be closed up when the owners returned interstate, yet would have all the hallmarks of an authentic beach house.

Originally designed by Bark for a young family in 2002, the original premise of the house was economy, durability and simplicity. A change of ownership in 2009 provided an opportunity to exlpore its design flexibility to suit the requirements of its new owners.

The house is a series of steeped platforms that enable a contemporary coastal lifestyle to unfold within a very special coastal landscape.
