Peregian Beach House 2

Alterations and additions to a classic fibro beach cottage, the Peregian Beach House 2 embodies a simple coastal modern aesthetic that is understated and timeless.

The existing cottage is ‘opened up’ and 'pared back' to become one interconnected split level space by deconstructing and opening existing walls to reveal their structural essence and enhance their scale and character. This strategy also creates connection to the kitchen and dining areas through visual permeability.

The surrounding spaces, including the guest room/study and bedroom, maintain visual connection to the central living zones but can also become private spaces.

Construction due to commence 2013.
