Dulong House

Due for completion in February 2015, the Dulong House sits high on a northern ridge with a stunning outlook over the Sunshine Coast to the east and the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast hinterland to the North and West.

Beneath the shade of a 2700mm high ceiling plane, the platform hovers above the natural topography of the site with floor to ceiling Northern glazing shaded by a 1200mm wide aluminium folded awning.

Fair faced blockwork, natural flat zincalume and Fibre cement sheet cladding is detailed to emphasise a 'flush and sharp' character and the clean lines and simplicity of the plan - two pavilions with an outdoor room / breezeway space which connects the zones and frames a few on arrival from the South.

The material colour palette is made of dark tones of matt black, silver and concrete with warm highlights of blonde 'Blackbutt' floors and ceilings.
