Buderim House

Construction has just started on a steep 'bush' site on the Northern slopes of Buderim Mountain for a young professional family.

The plunge pool and building platform takes advantage of a pre-existing cut on the site whilst projecting off the slope into the eucalypt canopy.

One roof canopy 'wraps' Public and Private pavilions either side of an open timber breezeway provide light lofty spaces for living and sleeping up in the tree tops.

Views are framed through the Northern decks and internal spaces formed with a natural material palette of polished concrete, and modular plywood, polycarbonate and fibre cement sheets.

Completion due mid 2015.
