Phil Tillotson becomes Associate at Bark

Following 15 years of successful practice, the directors of Bark Design Architects are pleased to promote Phil Tillotson as an Associate of the practice.

Phil is highly regarded as an experienced architectural graduate with expertise in architectural design, detailing, and contract management. After 11 years of building industry knowledge and experience, Phil’s design sensibility and professional experience has been guided by Bark and notable architectural firms including Geoffrey Pie, Bligh Graham, Woods Bagot-Brisbane, as well as Earle Griffin.

Starting as a ‘year out’ architecture student and then returning as a University of Queensland first class honours graduate, Phil has contributed to many successful projects at Bark at various times over a six year association. Phil brings valuable strengths in design, 3d modelling, BIM systems and documentation management, and co-ordinating in-house and consultant teams.

Phil has extensive experience in high quality residential projects such as Bark’s Maleny House (http://www.barkdesign.com.au/project/maleny-house) and complex civic projects, such as $12m Noosa Junction Station bus station project (http://www.barkdesign.com.au/project/noosa-junction-station) and more recently in Cairns, on JCU and the CBD revitalisation busway projects as project leader.

As Bark focuses on larger civic, commercial and eco tourism related projects, the team will also continue with a strong passion for designing bespoke sustainable houses and subtropical housing.

Congratulations to Phil!
